These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Petition Pilot website, web application, and all related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using Petition Pilot, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Nature of the Service
Petition Pilot is a document automation and preparation platform that helps users generate bankruptcy-related forms and schedules through guided data entry. Petition Pilot:

Does not provide legal advice

Is not a law firm

Does not create an attorney-client relationship

Does not review your documents for legal sufficiency, legal errors, or legal strategy
All decisions regarding bankruptcy filings, including whether to file and how to proceed, are solely your responsibility.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Petition Pilot. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet all legal requirements to enter into this agreement.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree that:

All information you provide is accurate and complete

You are solely responsible for reviewing your documents before filing

You understand that pro se filers cannot electronically file bankruptcy petitions and must file in person at the bankruptcy court clerk’s office

You assume all responsibility for meeting deadlines, court requirements, and accuracy of your filings
Petition Pilot is not responsible for:

Court rejections
-
Filing delays
-
Adverse legal outcomes
-
Financial consequences of incorrect or incomplete filings
4. How the Platform Works
Petition Pilot allows you to:

Create an account
-
Select Chapter 7 or Chapter 13

Answer guided questions
-
Generate PDFs
-
Receive emailed copies of each completed form or schedule
Petition Pilot does not file anything on your behalf.
You must print, sign, and file all documents with the appropriate bankruptcy court.
5. No Legal Advice
Nothing on the Platform should be interpreted as legal advice, guidance, or recommendations. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.
6. Payment and Refunds
All prices are listed on our website. By making a purchase, you authorize us to charge your provided payment method.
Due to the nature of digital document automation, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, software, branding, text, graphics, forms, and features on Petition Pilot are owned by or licensed to Petition Pilot. You may use the Platform only for personal bankruptcy document preparation. You may not:

Sell

Reverse engineer

Modify

Create derivative works
8. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and any activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Petition Pilot to:

Engage in illegal activity

Disrupt or harm the Platform

Attempt unauthorized access

Upload viruses or harmful code

Misrepresent your identity

Provide false or fraudulent bankruptcy information
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
10. Email Delivery of Documents
Petition Pilot emails PDFs after you complete each form or schedule. You are responsible for:

Checking your inbox and spam folders

Maintaining a valid, functioning email address

Downloading and securely storing your documents
We are not responsible for delayed, blocked, or misdirected emails.
11. Court Filing Requirements
You acknowledge that:

Pro se filers cannot electronically file in bankruptcy court

You must file your documents in person at the clerk’s office
-
You are solely responsible for compliance with your court’s rules and deadlines
Petition Pilot does not interact with courts, clerks, trustees, or judges.
12. Third-Party Services
Petition Pilot may use or link to third-party services (PDF processors, payment processors, email systems). We are not responsible for their actions, availability, policies, or failures.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
Petition Pilot is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of:

Accuracy

Reliability

Completeness

Fitness for a particular purpose

Availability
We do not guarantee outcomes, court acceptance, or error-free operation.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Petition Pilot is not liable for:

Filing rejections

Loss of data

Lost profits

Delays

Indirect or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Petition Pilot from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your:

16. Modifications
